Pharmaceutical industry cooperative: architecture and implementation of an On-Prem Datahub
Context
As part of an overall digital transformation plan, our challenge was to design and implement a new data platform to gradually replace the existing data warehouses. The aim was to support the company's new business objectives. The main actions to be undertaken included designing the target architecture, training the IT & Infra teams, and drawing up a pragmatic and progressive Business Intelligence (BI) transformation plan.
Issues
Major issues included :
- Consolidate existing data sources and acquire/consolidate new data sources.
- Store and structure data in native format as required.
- Develop analytical skills, particularly in Data Science, including Computer Vision.
Solution and method
We helped our customer choose and implement a Big Data / Data science platform to meet these challenges.
We then developed the new On Premise data platform, in particular for personal health data. Close collaboration with the IT and Infra teams was essential for successful implementation.
Benefits
This new data platform has enabled significant productivity gains to be observed, with three-figure improvements. In addition, it has enabled valuable historical analysis for the pharmaceutical industry, giving the company new ways of leveraging its data for strategic insights. The use of technologies such as Cloudera and Talend has strengthened data processing and analysis capabilities, contributing to the company's successful digital transformation.
